"I was getting a lot of invitations to churches and various places to come and sing for them. So I've been singing for a long time," said Gospel Singer Lowell Mason.
Lowell says that growing up in the church influenced his choice on what to do with his life.
"I believe that the message that is found within the bible, I believe it's a good message for people to live by. It gives you a lot of guidance and direction in where we need to go with our lives," said Mason.
Throughout his life, he hasn't known to do anything else besides encouraging others with his voice.
"My life's calling is really the way I like to look at it. It's been a real blessing for me to continue doing it," said Mason.
A concert was held at Clearmont Christian Church during Sunday service and members were happy to have him.
"Just dedication to serve the lord and use the talents which he's been blessed with. To sing and sing gospel music. So I know for our older church it was a blessing for them to get to experience that," said Clearmont Christian Church Pastor Fred Stevens.
Besides singing, Lowell is also involved with a mission to distribute bibles to Russia.
"That's probably something as americans sometimes that we take for granted. With us today, you would think nothing to have a bible but I think in other countries it's quite a privilege to have a bible," said Stevens.
Lowell's age hasn't held him back yet as he plans on continuing to be an inspiration to those around him.
"I have people ask me once in a while when I'm going to retire and I honestly don't have any plans to retire as long as I can get up in front of a microphone and sing a few songs, I think I'll keep right on going," said Mason.
Standing at only 46 inches, Lowell doesn't only perform around the country but around the world as well.
