Agency, Restaurants Partner for Fundraising Promotion

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Dining out never tasted so good - at least that's the case for the United Way of Greater St. Joseph.

The agency's "Eat, Drink, Live United" promotion kicked off during the lunch hour Wednesday.

Restaurants, like Culver's, agreed to donate 10 percent of the day's sales to the United Way.

The money helps support the United Way's 19 partner agencies and the restaurants benefit too.

"We are definitely a lot busier when we have United Way days. Lunch is busier. Dinner is busier. A lot of people come out," said Tiffany Aranda, Culver's general manager.

Other participating restaurants include Hi-Ho Bar & Grill and Piatto 614.
