(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The 2014 annual outside audit was performed at the Buchanan County Courthouse Wednesday.  Companies have to put in a submittle due to their contracts being up.  11 different companies requested information and only two responded.  One was a decline and the other was a bid which will be evaluated to be accepted or declined.  This is done every year to make sure everything is in order.

"A lot of grants you get are required to have an outside audit so you have a outside company come in to look at you and your procedures to make sure that you're doing everything according to state statutes and laws," said Buchanan County Commissioner R.T. Turner.

Once evaluated, if there's something the commissioner's office doesn't like about the one bid they will go back out for a bid process or try to get other people involved.
