(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A flashy display to raise awareness about breast cancer is coming together at the St. Joseph YWCA.

This lingerie is part of the "Bling a Bra" event for breast cancer awareness month.

The YWCA asked for creatively decorated bras to put on display at the Josephine Expo this weekend at the Civic Arena.
Those attending can vote on their favorite by donating pocket change.
The bras are dressed up with everything from leaves to cowgirl boots - enough to get women to stop and look at the educational information on display with them.

"It definitely keeps people's attention, so when they walk by and see all of these decorated bras, they stop to talk to us. And that gives us an opening to talk to them about whether they've gotten their own mammogram and taking care of their own breast health," said YWCA Public Relations Manager Melissa Ferguson.

The "Bling a Bra" items will also be on display on the YWCAs Pink Tea luncheon later this month.
