(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A countdown, then the chair was removed from under the feet of Stephanie Grable.

The stunt left Grable stuck to a wall at Humboldt Elementary School in St. Joseph Wednesday.

Grable, a librarian, agreed to let her students stick her to the wall with duct tape if they met a $2,500 fundraising goal during the fall book sale.

The school surpassed the goal and Grable lived up to her end of the bargain.

She said it was worth it to get some extra money for new library books.

"It's huge! We recently had a little bit of budget cuts in the library. So, this is our one means of earning a little money for our kids. It's great," she said.

Some businesses even chipped in to help Humboldt reach the goal. They raised more than $2,700 total.
