Heartland Case Airs Tonight on Animal Planet

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Heartland hospital will make an appearance on national TV tonight.

An area teenager's story will air as part of the Animal Planet's "Monsters Inside Me." The show features stories about people infected with deadly parasites and the doctors and scientists asked to treat the infections.

Wednesday's episode will include the story of Wade Latham, who developed a parasite after eating under cooked or raw crayfish during a float trip in southern Missouri. As part of the story, Animal Planet crews worked with Heartland's Dr. Scott Folk as he explored the diagnosis and treatment.
