(WASHINGTON) Two fallen Kansas Army National Guard members will be inducted into the Defense Intelligence Agency's Patriots Memorial today.

Sgt. Don A. Clary and Sgt. Clinton Wisdom were killed on Nov. 8, 2004 in Iraq. Both were part of a personal security detail for a convoy that included the head of the ISG and several DIA analysts. Clary and Wisdom repeatedly positioned their vehicle between the ISG chief's car and an approaching vehicle driven by insurgents. Both soldiers were killed when the suicide bomber detonated his IED.

The DIA Patriots Memorial commemorates individual sacrifices made by people supporting the DIA. It is located at DIA headquarters and currently honors 21 employees who died in service to the United States.

More information on the memorial is available here.
