Alma “Gerry” Guy-Watson, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Living Community of St. Joseph.
Gerry was born on April 14, 1924 in Fairfax, Missouri to Crofford E. and Mary Elizabeth (Judd) Poe.
She was owner and operator of Stonie’s Cleaners and worked at College Hill Cleaners. Gerry was a member since the age of six at Woodson Chapel Christian Church, Midwest Artist Association and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She was an avid fisherman.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, first Husband, Wayne Guy, daughter, Jody Bonham, sisters, Evalee Zembles and Laveta Brown, and nephew, Larry Brown.
She married Charley Watson on March 5, 2000. He survives of the home.
Additional surviving family includes nephews, William “Billy Wayne” (Eileen) Neely and Lee (Cathleen) Brown and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services 11:00 am Friday, August 28, 2014 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at our chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Woodson Chapel Christian Church.
