Beulah “Boots” Winger, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born May 10, 1921 to James and Zelma (Barnes) Powell in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Beulah married Bernie Winger on November 24, 1942. He preceded him in death in October 1996.
She was a member of Copeland Baptist Church, DeKalb County Historical Society and had also been active in the Stewartsville Baptist Church. Beulah spent her life teaching children in several area schools and in her churches and continued to lead bible studies in her later years.
Mrs. Winger was also preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Spencer Mattson; grandson-in-law, Rob Mattson; sister, Darlene Day; and nephew, Mike Mullen.
Survivors: daughter, Robin Connell (Ken), Stewartsville, Missouri; sons, Hal Winger (Roberta), Medford, Oregon and Barry Winger, Lawson, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services and Interment: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Stewartsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Friday.
