Burness "Jake" Andrew Nuckols 69, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital.

He was born June 25, 1944 in Amity, MO, son of Helen and Samuel Nuckols.

He graduated from high school and served in the Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Armour & Company, and R&C Heating and cooling as a Technician. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was a former member of American Legion and Christian.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roland "Butch" Nuckols, a sister, Clarabelle Nuckols.

Survivors include, his wife, Janie Nuckols of the home, two daughters, Michelle Tuoley of Kennesaw, GA, and Marie Sutterfield of St. Joseph, MO, two, granddaughters, and two brothers, Sam (Carolyn) Nuckols of St. Joseph, MO, brother, Kenneth (Donna) Nuckols of Stewartsville, MO, a sister, Charlotte (Franklin) Dreher of Graham, MO, as well as several, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Lori Burns officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
