Carol Sue Homan-Marsh 76, of Saint Joseph, passed away Tuesday July 8, 2014.

Born August 23, 1937 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Susie & Bertrand Chaney.

She attended Lafayette High School, and married Jerry Homan in 1953, from this marriage she had four children, Danny, Terri, Jerry, and Toni.

She owned a Merle Norman store in Kansas City, MO for many years. After moving to California to be closer to her family she met Sam Marsh I. They moved to Missouri and married in March of 1992. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, singing and dancing in the kitchen during the family dinners, reading Nicholas Sparks, and loved going to play bingo with her sister Joyce where she was known as Bingo Betsy.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jerry Homan, brothers, Wayne and Larry Chaney, sister, Patricia Ayers, and mother in law, Emolyn Homan-Thompson.

She is survived by husband, Sam Marsh I of the home, two daughters, Toni Presto (Doug Rose) and Terri Marsh of St. Joseph, MO, son, Danny Homan of New Braunfels, TX, daughter in law, Debbie Homan, step daughters, Debbie Miller, and Jennifer Elrod, step son, Sam Marsh II, grandchildren, Andrea Elrod, Sam Marsh III, Ashleigh Homan, Joseph, Justin, Jerry and Jordan Presto, great grandchildren, Brody Seward, Kenna, Connor, Reice, and Yoselyn Presto, brother, Tony (Linda) Chaney, sisters, Beverly Arnold, and Joyce (Sonny) DiAmico, and her dearest friend, Shirley Agee Handley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday with a Celebration of Life to be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
