Clyde D. Leake, 61, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1952 to Chester and Betty (Willard) Leake in Hannibal, Missouri.
He married Cathy Morgan on May 21, 1977. She survives of the home.
Clyde was a nurse at NMPRC for thirty years and was presently working at Heartland Regional Medical Center in the Mental Health Department. He was a quiet, gentle man but his actions spoke volumes of his love for people, animals, nature and all living things. He was a coach for the Bird Dog Softball team that unfortunately didn’t win a lot of games but his goal was to always have fun, which they did.
He liked photography, but his true passion was working with the mentally ill. He continued to self-educate himself in order to do a better job of helping the mentally ill to become accepted members of society. He will always live in the hearts of those who knew him.
