She was born November 1, 1922 in East Chicago, IN, daughter of Julia and John Sut.
She graduated from Washington high school, East Chicago. She moved to St. Joseph in 1943 and met Martin, and they married July 5, 1943. During WWII she worked as a welder, she retired from Everett School as the Cafeteria Manager after 15 years of service. She was a wonderful, cook, mother & grandmother, she loved babies, and artwork, especially fashion design and designed her own clothes, she loved sports, and ran track in high school, played softball, and played volleyball at Everett school with the faculty. She was also very proud of her Catholic faith.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sons, Martin III, Eric, John, Adam, and Dale Ambrozi, a daughter, Rose Marie Ambrozi, and a granddaughter, Rachael Dodds. two brothers, Nick and Jan Sut, and five sisters, Ann, Eleanor, Marilyn, Kay, and Julie.
Survivors include 3 sons - Fritz Ambrozi I (Gina McEnaney) of St. Joseph, MO, Jan Ambrozi (Joy Clark) of Hemple, MO, and Kurt Ambrozi of St. Joseph; 2 daughters - Diane (Joe) Jorgensen of Canton, MO, Christine (Patrick) Eckhardt of St. Joseph, MO; two sisters - Dorothy Mileusnich, and Rose Kobal of Indiana; 19 Grandchildren- Martin, Gretchen, Jason, Kim, Chris, Fritz, Conrad, Autumn, Austin, Josh, Kyle, Rachael, Dakotah, Jerikoh, Shiloh, Jan Michael, Landinn, Karleigh, and Gannon; 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
