Enid Heiten Lowenberg, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, June 20, 2014 at her home.
She was born August 25, 1923 to Joseph and Carrie (Fogel) Heiten.
She was a graduate of Central High and then attended University of Missouri and University of Wisconsin.
Enid married Allan Lowenberg on February 20, 1943 in Reno, Nevada. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Lowenberg retired in 1986 after 46 years as co-owner LaMode Women’s Wear.
She was the Co-founder of Robidoux Resident Theater and served on the Performing Arts Board, Allied Arts Board, and the RRT Board for over 25 years.
She was past vice president of the Runcie Club, was an avid swimmer and golfer, and was past president of the Women’s Moila Golf Association.
Enid was a member of Temple Adath Joseph, former board member, where she was also the 1st woman President, founder of Helping Hand, and three time president of the temple sisterhood. Enid performed in over 30 plays with lead roles at Central High School, various universities, and later in local community theater and RRT.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: husband, Allan; son, Brent (Linda), Columbia, Missouri; daughter, Linda Brecher (Alan), Sedona, Arizona; grandchild, Maggie, Colorado; and sister, Joan Dorman (Al), California.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home. Interment Adath Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home.
