He was born April 2, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Petra and Jose Jimenez Sr.
He graduated from Christian Brothers high School, then served and retired from the United States Navy, and is a veteran of the Korean War. He also retired from the U.S.D.A. as a Meat Inspector. Frank was an avid Chiefs fan and was a member of Catholic Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Joseph F. Jimenez on April 7, 2014, and Michael Anthony Jimenez, three brothers, John Sr., Jose, Robert, Peter and Patrick, and sisters Consuelo Szewa, and Aurora Rivera.
Survivors include, two daughters, Yolonda M. Engstrand, and Amelia Jimenez of St. Joseph, MO, and a sister Delores "Lola" Moore, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Fr. Jeffrey Jambon officiating, A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Wednesday, with the family to receive friends until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Frank Jimenez memorial funeral in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
