Jack L. Fanning, 60, St. Joseph; passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Heartland Hospital with his loving wife and family by his side, following a battle with cancer.

Jack was born on November 6, 1953 to Norman and Janice Fanning, in St. Joseph, Missouri and was a lifelong resident. He was a 1972 graduate of Central High School.

Jack was employed with Altec for over 33 years. He loved sports, camping and traveling with his wife. He loved and was a lifelong Cardinals fan.

Jack married Susan on January 1, 1989 in St. Joseph, celebrating 25 years of marriage. She survives him of the home.

Additional survivors include, 3 sons, Kyle, Salt Lake City, Utah; Aaron and Colin, both of St. Louis, MO; mother, Janice Fanning, sisters, Cathie (Ric) Nocks, Linda (Ron) Tyler, Terry Kearnes; brothers, Mike (Stacie) Fanning and Tom Fanning; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Norman.

Memorial Service 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heartland Clinic Cancer Center, 902 N. Riverside Rd. Suite 200, St. Joseph, MO 64507.
