Jennie L. Wanbaugh, 90, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.

A Graveside service will be held 10:30am Saturday, July 5, 2014 the Platte City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be given to the Independence North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Jennie was born May 24, 1924 in Platte County, MO to William and Grace Louise (Souther) Lanter.

She grew up in the Platte City area and graduated from Platte City High School. She has resided in Independence for the last 50years.

Jennie married Earl Devern Wanbaugh on June 4, 1960 in Liberty, MO.

She was an Insurance Underwriter for Bituminous Insurance Company. Jennie was a member of the Independence North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her sisters, Laura Catherine Polson and Wilma Jean Hicks. Jennie is survived by: her Husband Earl Devern Wanbaugh of the home, her son Linn Wanbaugh of Blue Springs, MO, granddaughter, Teagan Grace Wanbaugh and a Niece.
