Karen enjoyed the outdoors going fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, and loved her family dearly. She loved being a caregiver and was in the nursing profession for 30 years and also an Assistant Director of nursing for LaVerna Village.
Survivors include, companion of 10 years, Dean Taylor, of the home; son, Zach Ellis, King City, MO; step-sons, Jamey (Christy) Carpenter, and Steven (Kari) Ellis, both of St. Joseph, MO; brothers, Virgil (Sonna) Davison, and Bill Davison, both of Savannah, MO; sister, Mary Kaye (Jim) Goodman, Hagerstown, MD, and six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Caryle, Ronnie, and Gary Davison.
Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 3 PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at LaVerna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, MO, and a graveside service will be held 2 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, MO. Memorial Donations are suggested to LaVerna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, MO. Arrangements entrusted to Breit – Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.
