Lillian Delouris “Dee Dee” Wade, 89, of Platte City, MO, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Northcare Hospice House of North K.C. Hospital.

A visitation will be held 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Platte City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be given to Northcare Hospice.

Dee Dee was born August 20, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO to Charles R. and Rosa Lena (Blankenship) Willis.

She spent most of her life in the Platte City area.

Dee Dee married Vernon Glen Wade on December 6, 1941 in St. Joseph.

She was a homemaker, and helped the family raise tobacco in Platte City. Dee Dee was a member of the First Christian Church of Platte City; and member of the Eastern Star Garland Chapter #287, of Smithville, MO.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her daughter Judy Kaye Pearson; 5 brothers Robert, Benny, Jack, Joe, and Bill; and 2 infant sisters.

Dee Dee is survived by: her son Donald (Rena) Wade of K.C., MO; her sister Mary Hazelwood of St. Joseph; her son in law John Pearson of Denham Springs, LA; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
