Lloyd E. Mueller, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, April 28, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

He was born December 31, 1925 to Charles F. and Emilie A. (Wollnick) Mueller.

Lloyd married Beverly Dawson on April 24, 1947. She preceded him in death in 1982.

Lloyd proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a B-17 tailgunner in the 365th Bomb Squad, 305th Bomb Group and was a POW. He owned and operated Lloyd E. Mueller Plastering Contractor.

Lloyd was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Herbert C. Mueller.

Survivors: son, Gregg Mueller (Cathie), Little Rock, Arkansas; daughters, Nancy Bodenhausen (Craig), Placerville, California and Cynthia Bremer (Daniel), Grand Island, Nebraska; sister, Dorothy Caton; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and special friend, Helen Polaski.

Memorial Services: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church & School. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
