Louise (Staudinger) Silvy, 96, of Wathena, Kansas died Wednesday, March 5, 2014.

Louise was born on October 24, 1917 in Richardton, North Dakota to John and Christine (Metz) Staudinger. She was a lifelong resident of Wathena and worked at Noma Lites, Whittaker Cable, the Egg Plant & Douglas Candy.

Louise was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church & St. Ann’s Altar Society in Wathena.

She married Dorrel Silvy on September 16, 1938 in the state of Washington. He preceded her in death in April of 1976. Louise was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers & a sister.

Survivors include; daughters, Ada Silvy of St. Joseph, Missouri Rosemary Silvy of Faucett, Missouri; Romona Robson (Thomas) of Shawnee, Kansas; Kathy Copas (Larry) of Springdale, Arkansas; Christine White (Dr. Tom) of St. Joseph, Missouri; Patricia Brune (Bill) of Parkville, Missouri; sons, Dorrel Silvy, Jr. (Carolyn) of Raymore, Missouri; Nova Silvy of College Station, Texas; Robert Silvy & John Silvy both of Wathena, Kansas; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters & 3 brothers; numerous nieces & nephews.

MASS: 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 10, 2014 at: St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wathena. Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wathena. Rosary: 5 P.M. Sunday evening, with visitation to follow from 6-8 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena,Kansas, where friends may call after 12noon Saturday. Memorials: St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Renovation Fund
