Maxine Conroy, 92, of Independence, Missouri formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away at a health care center in Independence, Missouri on Sunday, July 27, 2014.
Maxine was born on December 15, 1921 in Platte City, Missouri to Walter and Nellie (Cluck) Seever. She was a homemaker and had worked for Whitaker Cable. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold P. Conroy in 2011. She was also preceded by her parents; brother, Hayden Seever; and great-great-granddaughter, Kennedy Hope Butrum.
Maxine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Helen Thornton; step-son, Danny (Sandra) Conroy; three randchildren, Vicki (David) Shewmaker, Tim (Joyce) Thornton, Heather Thornton (Randy Adams); and four great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 10am Friday at the Horigan Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Parish Rosary 7pm Thursday. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
