Monica F. Consodine, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at a local health care facility.
Monica was born on November 15, 1930 in St. Joseph to Thomas and Lena (Arthur) Consodine.
Monica was a graduate of the Convent of the Sacred Heart in St. Joseph and was a lifelong member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, where she was honored as an Outstanding Catholic in 1983. Monica was also a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Saint Ann’s Altar Society, holding offices in both.
Monica was formerly employed at Swift and Company, First Stockyards Bank, First National Bank and retired from Commerce Bank.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn M. Consodine; and brother, Major Thomas J. Consodine, USMC Ret.
Survivors include numerous cousins, including the Grove Family; special friends, Art and Julia Rocha, David Penny, Corky and Keith Marquart, Jerry, Nita and Staci Thornton.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 am, Thursday at Saint Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will begin after 12 noon, Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday evening at our Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 8 pm. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
