Nancy Jean Lazell, 70 of Platte City, MO formerly of Decatur, IL passed away at her residence March 25, 2014.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be 2 PM April 5, 2014 at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Pastor Nic Showalter officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter in Decatur.

Nancy was born Dec. 2, 1943 in Clinton, IL, the daughter of Milton Ray and Mildred (Rau) Foster.

She married Richard Lazell Feb. 3, 1962.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Angi (Ken) Butler and Dawn (Jimmy) Jackson both of Decatur, IL and Cristal (Jeff) Foreman of Platte City, MO; six grandchildren, Tori Butler, John Puckett, Mattie Puckett, Tanner Jackson, Caitlin Foreman and Robert Jeffrey Foreman. She is also survived by her two brothers, Larry (Carol) Clark of Maroa, IL and Ron (Jill) Clark of Forsyth, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and William H. Clark and Milton Foster; and one niece, Tiffany Clark. Nancy was a member of the Maroa United Methodist Church, Maroa, Il and she had worked in the Laboratory at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
