Ramona K. (Miller) Weiland, 69, of St. Joseph passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Ramona was born on July 1, 1944 in Emporia, Kansas. She graduated from Union Star High School, Class of 1962, and attended Platt College. Ramona was a resident of St. Joseph since 1985.
She was a secretary with Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel for over twenty years.
Ramona married John R. Weiland on July 4, 1992 in St. Joseph. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2013. Ramona was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Miller.
Surviving family includes daughters, Kristie (Karl) Ploeger, Kandie (Paul) Stock and Kelly (Steve) Plumb; grandchildren, Michelle, Emily, Alexandra, Taylor and Abby; great-grandchildren, Ryvre, Willow and Ember; mother, Lorene Miller, sister, Roberta Long, brother, Rick Miller (Lori); two sisters-in-laws, Patti Bennett, Georgia Clark and her beloved dog, Casper.
Ramona loved helping families with Genealogy and enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking for her family, cooking, canning and loved bargain hunting.
Services 2:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 Noon Friday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at our chapel.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society.
