Randall was born April 19, 1945 to Robert V. and Sylvia (Rothman) Goodman in Wichita, KS. He spent most of his childhood in Des Moines, IA where he attended Roosevelt High School until 1962. The family moved to Kansas City, MO where he graduated from Center High School in 1963. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1968. Randy served in the United States Army at Sandia Base, New Mexico as a M.P. from 1968-1970. After his service he returned to Kansas City where helped found the former Westport Free Clinic which is now the Kansas City Care Clinic. His career as a counselor helped many of his clients through the years. Music, especially swing jazz, was one of his passions; he also enjoyed the study of astrology, the occult and other esoteric fields. His Jewish heritage was very important to him. The family wishes to thank the oncology department at the Kansas City V.A. for the compassionate care he received throughout his illness, and Dr. Fred Weaver.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother Richard M. Goodman of Columbia, MO, sister Katherine Swatek (Stephen) of Platte City, MO, niece Jessica Swatek of Platte City, MO, Great niece Olivia Ogilvie of Platte City, MO.

A celebration of life will be held August 17, 2014, 4:00pm at the Tao Academy Kansas City, with a potluck dinner to follow.
