Sharon Walker, 67, Barnard, Missouri died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at her home.

She was born January 30, 1947 to Virgil and Martha (Farrier) Kerns in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Sharon married Jerry L. Walker on April 29, 1963. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2013.

Sharon enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and fishing. She also liked watching movies and laughing at the comedies on TV. She enjoyed nature and animals, especially her dogs. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she also had a large collection of angels and bells.

Sharon was a stay at home mother. This enabled her to volunteer at all the school functions, babysit, and attend her granddaughters’ ball games. This was so important to her since family was the most important thing to her. She loved life and her family and will be forever missed and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lorie Lynn Walker; and brother, Johnny Kerns.

Survivors: daughters, Tina Walker, Barnard, Missouri, Sherry Schumann (Paul), Macon, Missouri, and Karen Schumann (James), Barnard, Missouri; granddaughters, Sarah, Lori, and Anna Schumann and Krystal Williams (Justin); great-grandchildren, Cole, Allie, and Blake Williams; Dana Roberts (Michael) and their children, Kendell and Tyler who she thought of as family; sisters, Beatrice “Bea” Sells (Eldon), Kandy Davis (Bob), Terry Ebling (Walt), Jeannie Davis (Ernest), and Peggy Duncan; brother, Allan Kerns (Sandy); sister-in-law, Janey Kerns; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services:  1:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Sunday. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
