Warren Eldon “Dennie” King, 88, Union Star, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.
He was born December 4, 1925 to Lowell and Thelma (Donley) King in Union Star, Missouri.
He married Donna Lee Hartman September 22, 1951.
He was the Union Star Post Master retiring in 1984 and served in the Air Force.
Dennie loved to travel, and he and his wife were active participants in dog obedience training throughout the country and had the highest scoring boxer in the nation at one time. He loved to fish and found his favorite fishing spot in Walker, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife, Donna, Union Star, Missouri; daughter, Carol McBride (David), Union Star, Missouri; brother-in-law, Paul Hartman (Patti), Johnston, Iowa; sister-in-law, Colleen Hartman Rolens, Hurst, Texas; three generations of nieces and nephews; and one boxer dog.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Union Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Monday.
