William "Bill" Boyd Funchess, 72, Cameron, MO

William “Bill” Boyd Funchess, 72, Cameron, passed away on June 27, 2014 at his home.

Bill was born on November 26, 1941 in Brandon, Mississippi to Bervon Boyd and Velma (Young) Funchess. They preceded him in death.

He worked as a purchasing agent for NW Electric Cooperative in Cameron for 35 years, before retiring.

On May 23, 1975, Bill married Carolyn Pauline Geyer in Linn, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Bill was the Assistant Scout Master for Troop 87 and an Honorary Warrior for the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, along with 2 of his sons and grandsons.

Additional survivors: 3 sons, Bob (Janice) Funchess, Oceanside, CA, Rob (Laura) Funchess, Cameron and Doug (Kyong-Ae) Miles, Cameron; sister, Jane (Ronnie) Saul, Crystal Springs, MS; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the First Christian Church, Cameron. Visitation: 6:30-8:00 PM, Monday evening at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
