Lino's Meaty Meat Sauce

1 small onion diced
1 carrot diced
1 celery diced
1 lb ground beef
2-3 bay leaves
2-3 tbs tomato paste
Red Wine
Salt & Pepper to taste
3 tbs olive oil
1 lb fettuccine
parmigiana cheese

In a sauce pan cook meat with olive oil, brown the meat and let cook in own juices.
Add carrots, celery, and onion and let cook for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt & pepper.  Add dash of wine and let evaporate, then add tomato paste and some water
from cooked pasta and bay leaves.  Let cook for several minutes, meanwhile cooking pasta. Drain pasta real well and then mix with meat sauce, add some cheese into mixture and then serve.
