Spaghetti Alla Calabrese

3-4 strips smoked bacon
1 lb. ground beef
3-4 T. olive oil
1 small onion
tomato paste
3 T. balsamic vinegar
salt & pepper to taste
1 lb. spaghetti

In a pan brown the ground beef. Add bacon and onions and let cook for five minutes. Meanwhile,add tomato paste and some cooking water from the pasta that you are cooking. When tomato paste is diluted with water, add balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, finish cooking the pasta. Drain well and add to the mixture, toss all together, and serve.
