(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The Allied Arts Council is looking for the top local performers for this year's St. Joe's Got Talent competition.

Auditions begin this week for the annual event, which is a fundraiser for the Arts Fund Campaign.

The competition is open to individuals or groups wishing to showcase their musical talent, dancing ability or other performance.

Contestants must attend a taping for St. Joe's Got Talent to get started. They will have three minutes to perform. The performances will be recorded and uploaded to KQ2's website where voters can select their favorite acts. The top acts will compete at the Missouri Theater on April 10 before a crowd and judges. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. KQ2's Bridget Blevins and Mike Bracciano will host the live event.

The recording sessions are scheduled for Feb. 25 and 26 at the Missouri Theater starting at 5:30 p.m. The Paradox Theater will host a third taping on Feb. 27 at 5:30 p.m.

The entry fee for acts with 1-3 performers is $10. The fee is $15 for groups of four or more.

Visit the Allied Arts Council online for an entry form and contest details.
