Ideas Sought for Victims Memorial

Buchanan County Commissioners and the County Prosecutor are seeking design proposals for a new memorial.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) Buchanan County Commissioners and the County Prosecutor are seeking design proposals for a new memorial.

A crime victims memorial is set to be built on the lawn of the Buchanan County Courthouse.

The proposed memorial will cover an area about 30 feet by 60 feet and will be no more than 15 feet tall.

Proposals should include scaled sketches, site plan, minimum of two elevations, ground level rendering, major materials and proposed budget, installation, artists' fees and other costs.

County officials will review the proposals and select either one proposal or request interviews for two or more proposals.

All proposals must be submitted to the County Prosecuting Attorney's office located inside the Buchanan County Prosecutor's office.
