Despite a law banning texting and driving in Missouri, many continue to turn their eyes from the road, to their phones.
Now, a group of St. Joseph filmmakers has teamed up with Highway Patrol in hopes of "ending the send."
In Focus Productions has launched a new public service announcement hoping the message will trigger a message with teenage drivers.
The PSA warns young people of the dangers of texting and driving.
"We want people to be proactive," said Central High School student, Derek Rice, who worked on the project with Bryson Wooden, a CHS Senior, and Josh Smith, a Missouri Western student.
"You want people to do something before they get themselves in a situation they can't take back," Rice said.
