On Monday, the St. Joseph Board of Education released results of the P.A.C.T. survey started in February.

Unicom ARC, a St. Louis based company conducted the survey. 502 interviews were taken from a sample of random, registered voters in St. Joseph. Only 23% of respondents were people who had children 18 years or younger.

It surveyed perceptions of the district, district conditions, performance of district officials, as well as the overall quality of education.  Among the biggest priorities surveyed for the district, technology & building improvements.

Dr. Rod Wright of Unicom ARC said, ?The results were very positive, it reflected a population that was by-and-large happy with the overall quality of education that was being provided to the students and that overall positive evaluation crossed almost all categories that we asked about. That's not to say that there can't be improvements in categories, but overall showed a population that was very satisfied with the schools."

More than half those poled graded the district an A or B.
