McNutt Verbally Commits to North Dakota State

Benton Wrestling's all-time wins leader chooses to wrestle for the Bison next year.
(ST. JOSEPH) The all-time wins leader for the Benton wrestling program has chosen where he'll compete at the next level.

Tyler McNutt has verbally committed to North Dakota State University. The reigning state champion also considered Maryville University, Missouri Valley College, and Lindenwood among other.

He's expected to sign sometime next week.

He leaves Benton with a 183-31 career record and as a three-time state qualifier. He scored a 7-0 decision over Oak Grove's Dalton Brinegar at Mizzou Arena in February to capture the Class 2 170 pound state title in his final match.
