Benton Football Leads the Pack in City Jamboree

The annual City Jamboree kicked off the unofficial start of football season, offering a preview of four high schools.
(St. Joseph, Mo.) St. Joseph's high school football teams finally got the chance to hit someone besides their teammates on Friday night at Missouri Western State University.

Benton won the exhibition game with a good dose of their ground game on offense in all three quarters and a shutdown defense that allowed only 12 points.

Central took second despite putting up touchdowns on four of their first five offensive possessions against Bishop Leblond.

Lafayette came third and Bishop Leblond fourth.

All four teams will begin their season next Friday night as the high school football season officially begins.
