Missouri Valley Disrupts Benedictine's Perfect Season

The fourth-ranked Ravens suffer their first defeat, 42-14 at the hands of No. 10 Missouri Valley.
(MARSHALL, Mo.) No. 4 Benedictine's perfect regular season came up two stops short on Saturday as the Ravens suffered their first loss to No. 10 Missouri Valley College by a 42-14 final.

The loss drops the Ravens (9-1, 8-1) into a three-way tie with MVC and Baker for the top spot in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Benedictine allowed five unanswered touchdowns before finding the end zone, including a 28-0 deficit they carried into halftime. MVC's Bruce Reyes completed 31 of 36 passes for 286 yard and a touchdown hookup with Jarrell Davis in the fourth quarter.

Cameron Fore scored both Benedictine touchdowns in the fourth quarter on a pair of one-yard runs. He finished with just 30 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Raven quarterback Bill Noonan connected on 20 of 36 passes for 265 yards, Jerrin Walton was his prime target, hauling in seven catches for 136 yards despite not finding the end zone. 

MVC (7-2, 7-1) hung 519 yards of offense to Benedictine's 219, while the Vikings defense picked off Noonan twice while recording five sacks. 

Viking running backs James Tillman and Malachi Daniels combined for five of MVC's six touchdowns while racking up 205 total yards.

The Ravens wrap up the regular season next Saturday at Evangel University.
