Mustangs Set 2014 Schedule

St. Joseph will open the season at home May 30th.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After coming up short of a third straight MINK League Championship in 2013, the St. Joseph Mustangs are set for another run at the title in 2014.

The summer college baseball organization released its schedule for the upcoming season on Thursday.

The Mustangs will begin the season at home May 30th against Joplin, and the final regular season game at Phil Welch Stadium will be July 19th against defending league champ Clarinda.

The addition of the Branson Nationals to the MINK adds two more league games to the schedule for each team. St. Joe will play 44 games against MINK opponents in 2014, and 22 of their 26 home games will be against a team from the league.

Highlights to the schedule include three doubleheaders -- and two on back-to-back nights July 17th and 18th. St. Joseph will also hold Military Appreciation Night July 3rd with a game against the U.S. Military All-Stars.

A new wrinkle to the slate includes a game between the current St. Joe squad and the Mustangs alumni. That game will be played June 6th.
