Northwest did that on Saturday as they blasted Nebraska-Kearney 53-7. The Bearcats improve to 4-0 and 3-0 in the MIAA.
The Lopers' (0-4, 0-4) lone score came on a 74-yard interception return by Tyke Kozeal late in the first quarter. The offense picked up jsut six first downs while amassing 124 total yards.
The Bearcat defense forced three turnovers while holding quarterback Luke McNitt to just three completions for 45 yards. He was also sacked twice while the unit got to Bronson Marsh once as well.
Mosh completed 2 of 5 for three yards.
Trevor Adams turned in another strong performance, going 17 for 24 for 224 yards and three touchdowns. Brady Bolles connected with Clint Utter for the other score through the air.
Running back Billy Creason, who was one of five ball carriers to pick up at least 35 yards, found the end zone twice.
Defensive lineman Matt Longacre also ran back his second career fumble for a score midway through the second quarter.
