Royals Blanked by White Sox 2-0

John Danks breaks winless streak as Kansas City drops third straight game.
(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) Ervin Santana made two early mistakes and John Danks pitched eight scoreless innings in a 2-0 White Sox win in Kansas City on Tuesday.

Danks (3-10) hadn't won a start in nearly two months, but held shut down the Royals (64-60) while picking up two strikeouts and giving up seven hits.

Santana (8-7) served up a a first-inning solo home run to Gordon Beckham before Paul Konerko scored on a passed ball in the second. Kansas City's starter went six innings, striking out five while allowing four hits.

The Royals stranded five men in scoring position in their third straight loss since sweeping a doubleheader during their five-game set in Detroit.
