Layered Bean Dip
2 (16 oz. each) cans refried beans
1 (12 oz.) jar fresh salsa
1 (12 oz.) carton sour cream
1 (1 oz.) package taco seasoning mix
12 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
2 tomatoes, diced
1 (3.8 oz.) can sliced black olives, drained
1 bunch green onions, sliced thinly on the diagonal
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped, optional
2 avocadoes, seeded and chopped, optional
All you do:
1. Mix refried beans and salsa together for a dip-like consistency; spread on large serving dish.
2. Combine sour cream and taco seasoning; layer over beans.
3. Sprinkle remaining toppings in layers - shredded cheese, tomatoes, black olives, onion and jalapeno pepper and avocado, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.
Serve with tortilla chips.
