10 Month Old Kansas Girl Dies After Being Left in Hot Car

CNN (WICHITA, Ks.) Police in Wichita, Kansas say a 10-month-old child has died after being left in a hot car.

Police found the girl in a car unresponsive around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday.

"During the investigation we learned that the child, a 10 month old had been left in the vehicle in front of the resident for approximately 2 to 2 and a half hours," said Lt. Todd Ojile with the Wichita Police Department.

KWCH-TV reports the baby was a foster child of two men who lived in the area.

Those men have been taken in for questioning regarding the child's death.

"We looked at all the facts of it with all the facts we had last night during our investigation, I decided that the endangerment was a charge with, like I said it's just a booking right now, doesn't mean that he is charged with it or will be charged by the district attorney's office will present those facts next week," said Ojile.
