By Sean Everson | firstname.lastname@example.org
( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) Monday afternoon will heat up into the low 90s. Heat index values will be between 95-100 degrees. All of northwest Missouri and extreme eastern Kansas are under a Flash Flood Watch from 7pm Monday trough 7am Tuesday. Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop late this evening along a frontal boundary. The entire viewing area is under a slight severe risk until Tuesday with the main concerns being damaging winds and flash flooding due to heavy downpours. Storms will continue into the overnight hours. Lows tonight will be around 70. With the passing of the front, storms will clear out and temperatures will cool off a bit tomorrow. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low to mid 80s under partly sunny skies
