Armed Man Along I-29 Delays Traffic

(PLATTE COUNTY, Mo.) An Idaho man is under arrest after pointing a firearm at traffic on I-29 Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened about one mile north of the 273 Highway exit in Platte County.

Police say William Elders, 46, of Idaho was walking along I-29 pointing a rifle at traffic.

It is not clear whether he fired any shots, but anybody with information is asked to come forward.

Officers used a taser to take Elders into custody.

He was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
