The goal was to raise $124,813, and right now, they are short $73,000.
There are seven non-profit organizations that benefit from the campaign: Creative Arts Productions, Midwest Artist Association, Performing Arts Association, RiverSong, St. Joseph Community Chorus, Saint Joseph Symphony and the Allied Arts Council.
David Cripe, the campaign director, said if they do not reach their goal, it would be a major loss to those organizations, as well as the community.
"The Arts Fund contributes enough of the budget to these organizations, that without that, they would likely not survive, and certainly not be able to bring the quality in number of performances to the community," he said.
The campaign ends in June.
