(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)  For fans that went out to the Chiefs Family Fun Day Saturday morning, they still had to brave the heat.  Temperatures Saturday morning were in the 80s, and the humidity was high.  Missouri Western provided free water, a misting tent station, and a medical tent for fans.  It's something Associate Athletic Director Brett Esely says they prepare for each year.

"We've taken precautions, like I said the heat hasn't been as big an issue with the morning practices but, if we do have fans that have some extreme needs, especially in the case of heat.  We've got several services available for them," said Brett Esely of MWSU Athletics.

All practices the rest of the summer will be in the morning.
