Child Dies after Morning Collision Between Car, Snow Plow

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A collision between a snow plow and a car has turned deadly in Buchanan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kiber Williams, 1, of Easton, died from his injuries late Monday morning.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. Monday morning four miles east of St. Joseph on Route C.

Troopers say a snow plow, headed north on Route C, collided with a Pontiac Grand Prix that was southbound.

According to the accident report, the driver of the car, Alicca Williams, 24, of Easton, lost control on the snow and ice-covered roadway and crossed the center line, hitting the snow plow. Her son was taken to Heartland by ambulance, then flown to Children's Mercy in Kansas City where he later died.

The driver of the snow plow, Everett Goddard, 54, was taken to Heartland hospital with minor injuries.
