(CHILLICOTHE, Mo.) A Chillicothe man faces felony charges following a sex crimes investigation involving two juvenile females.

According to the Chillicothe Police Department, Dennis LeRoy Gear was arrested Friday for two counts of statutory rape, one count of statutory sodomy and supplying intoxicants to a minor.

He has since been charged with first degree statutory sodomy and second degree statutory rape.
According to court documents, Gear supplied intoxicants to a female on several occasions in 2013 before making sexual advances toward her, including sexual intercourse. He allegedly offered the girl money to "have fun" with him and to not tell anyone. He even left money at the home following the alleged sexual assault and rape, according to the probable cause statement.

Gear is also accused of similar crimes dating back to 2008. The alleged victim at that time was about to enter 4th grade when she said Gear sexually assaulted her. He also allegedly offered the girl $100 to touch her and not tell anyone.

Gear's bond was set at $25,000 on each charge. He was transferred to the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail.
