(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Congressman Sam Graves was in town on Thursday to present a special award to a local woman.

Sue Winslow received a Purple Heart on behalf of her late husband, Bobby Gene Winslow.

Bobby Gene served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War, where he was wounded.

Mrs. Winslow said it is an honor to accept this award for her late husband and his efforts during the war.

"My husband died in September, so I feel like he deserved recognition for the service he performed," said Sue Winslow.

Bobby Gene Winslow was 85 years old when he died.
